Cable ties and cable accessories detectable by metal detectors
Specifically developed for bundling and fixing cable harnesses in production lines in the food and pharmaceutical industries, HellermannTyton MCT-series cable ties comply with HACCP principles, which prescribe a systematic risk analysis of food production processes. Made with the addition of metal particles, even small parts of the cable ties are magnetically and X-ray detectable, minimising the risk of food contamination. The blue colour of the ties further facilitates visual identification. In addition, the MCTS-series cable ties offer corrosion resistance, while the MCTPP-series ties (made from polypropylene) float in water and liquids with a density greater than water and are resistant to chemicals, particularly organic acids.
Cable ties and fixing elements made of E/TFE with increased chemical resistance
Another series of products we offer for bundling and fixing in the food industry are the cable ties and fixings made of E/TFE from HellermannTyton. They are made from ethylene-tetrafluoroethylene (also known as Tefzel®), which is characterised by its high chemical resistance and resistance to temperatures ranging from -80°C to +170°C. As a result, E/TFE cable ties and fixings are commonly used for fixing cables and wires in cryogenic chambers, freezers, smokehouses, bakeries and other areas exposed to aggressive chemicals.
ELASTOSIL M 4600 A/B
ELASTOSIL M 4600 A/B is the ideal product for the production of shrink-free moulds for the safe casting of edible parts, such as chocolate. It is a pourable two-component silicone rubber (RTV-2) by Wacker, which cures quickly at room temperature. This highly elastic silicone is characterised by its excellent resistance to tearing and other mechanical damage. Moulds made from RTV-2 silicone rubber show long-term stability and long service life.
